Commonwealth Bank 2006 Margaret River Wine Show
The Margaret River Wine Show is a regional show open to producers of Margaret River GI wine. It seeks to:
- Provide an opportunity for local grape growers and winemakers to receive appraisal and feedback from some of the nations best judges
- Promote wine styles distinct to the Margaret River wine region
- Showcase the best examples of wines from the region
- Unite the wine community of Margaret River with the common goal being the pursuit of wine excellence
What's New in 2006
The 2006 Commonwealth Bank Margaret River Wine Show has a number of new features. These include;
- A 2005 or older Sauvignon Blanc Class
- The new Non-Commercial Red Wine and Non-Commercial White Wine
- A Viticultural Excellence trophy to acknowledge the contribution of good
viticultural management to the reputation of Margaret River wine - An international judge to open the region to a new perspective on local wines
- The investment of Riedel Glasses to improve the consistency of judging
