Commonwealth Bank 2006 Margaret River Wine Show

The Margaret River Wine Show is a regional show open to producers of Margaret River GI wine. It seeks to:

Provide an opportunity for local grape growers and winemakers to receive appraisal and feedback from some of the nations best judges
Promote wine styles distinct to the Margaret River wine region
Showcase the best examples of wines from the region
Unite the wine community of Margaret River with the common goal being the pursuit of wine excellence

The 2006 Commonwealth Bank Margaret River Wine Show has a number of new features. These include;

A 2005 or older Sauvignon Blanc Class
The new Non-Commercial Red Wine and Non-Commercial White Wine
A Viticultural Excellence trophy to acknowledge the contribution of good
viticultural management to the reputation of Margaret River wine
An international judge to open the region to a new perspective on local wines
The investment of Riedel Glasses to improve the consistency of judging
